Beckett Farms Donations Policy

Beckett Farms is committed to supporting organizations that address food insecurity in Hartford County through in-kind donations of our farm grown produce. We believe in the power of local partnerships to help ensure everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food.

Donation Guidelines

  • Eligible Organizations:
    Beckett Farms donates only to organizations that are recognized as 501(c)(3) nonprofits and whose primary mission is to address food insecurity. A copy of your IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter must be included with your application. Applications without this documentation will not be considered.

    Beckett Farms prioritizes donations to organizations serving our immediate local community. Requests from organizations outside of Hartford County will not be considered.

  • Type of Donations:
    Beckett Farms provides in-kind donations only in the form of CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares. We do not provide cash donations, gift cards, or raffle prizes.
  • Application Process:
    • All donation requests must be emailed to info[at]beckettfarms.com for consideration.
    • Applications must be received at least 60 days prior to the requested donation date.
    • Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Our annual donation capacity is limited, so early submission is encouraged.
  • Review Criteria:
    Applications are evaluated based on:

    • Alignment with our mission to address food insecurity.
    • Demonstrated community impact.
    • Availability of farm products at the requested time.
  • Additional Notes:
    • Past support does not guarantee future donations.
    • Beckett Farms reserves the right to decline any request at its discretion.

Supporting Hands on Hartford

In addition to our in-kind donations, Beckett Farms also fundraises for Hands on Hartford, a trusted local organization dedicating its resources to improving food, housing, and health for vulnerable area residents. Community members who wish to support this cause with a cash donation may contribute directly to our Hands on Hartford fund. 100% of these contributions are forwarded to Hands on Hartford to further their vital work in our community.
